STEM challenge

February 14th was the 100th day of school.  Students from  Ms. Meyer’s 3rd grade class came to Science and were presented with a STEM challenge:

What is the tallest tower you can make using 100 plastic cups?

STEM stands for Science, technology, engineering and mathematics. STEM education creates critical thinkers, increases science literacy, and enables the next generation of innovators.

During this challenge, studentslearned about engineering through design and construction of a simple tower.
