NYC Center for Space Science Education

PS 134 students participated in Jr. Aviators, a NASA Aerospace Education Laboratory Program for Gr. 2 students.  The children travelled to the NYC Center for Space Science Education, which is two blocks from the school.  2nd graders engaged in exploration around the question: “How do airplanes fly?”  Students investigated the four forces that guide the science of aviation using experiential activities, model planes, and flight simulators. This program is aligned with the Forces and Motion unit of the NYC Science Scope & Sequence.
